Action in Georgia

4ERA's home state has always been one focus of our ratification efforts.

We are proud that Georgia is the home of former President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn Carter who were vigorous supporters of the ERA.  President Carter signed the legislation extending the original deadline of the amendment.  He and the late former First Lady Roslyn Carter were life long advocates for women's rights in the US and around the world.
